Family Care

IGSL is a family-friendly community. Married students must bring their spouses and children when they come to Manila. We have a small K-6 school for children inside our campus. The Bright Lights team helps families find suitable schools for children grade 7 and higher. In addition, the LM team provides a  series of seminars on marriage, parenting, and single life to offer a biblical perspective on these facets of life.

Bright Lights Assistance — BLA is a team of teachers assisting families in Bright House and Light House to find the best options for their children's education during their time in IGSL. (Hence the name, "Bright Lights Assistance." The BLA team also aids families by offering avenues for children’s spiritual enrichment and integration into the IGSL community.

Families with children age four up to grade six may choose to send their children to school in the Bright House Extension building on campus, where there are four classrooms. The four-year-olds may attend playschool each morning. Children from kindergarten to grade six are enrolled in Charis School Extension Program, using the School of Tomorrow curriculum. They are in class in the morning, and join extracurricular activities in the afternoon. The cost for this school is xx per year and is accredited by the Department of Education.

If families prefer to homeschool their own children, the Bright Lights Assistance team can guide them about the options available and the costs. Families with children in grades higher than grade six, and other families who prefer to send their children to school outside the campus are assisted in finding suitable schools for their children.

All children of faculty and students living inside the IGSL campus are welcome to join the extracurricular activities in the afternoons.  Teenagers also have options for youth groups designed for different age levels.

Seminars — IGSL is committed to helping Christian leaders be rooted in biblical principles for marriage and parenting, so that they are equipped, encouraged, and thriving in raising their own families for the glory and purposes of God. Marriage Seminars and Parenting Seminars are conducted in alternating years.

IGSL is also committed to guiding and encouraging singles in God’s call and purposes as singles. The Singles Seminar is conducted yearly. Attendance at these seminars is required. These are great opportunities for God to bring transformation and encouragement into the depths of our closest relationships
