Faculty Guidelines
All the policies about all the things related to our roles as IGSL faculty members — it's a lot to remember! We don't have to memorize it all — we can find what we need to know here.

Our goal is to minimize the number of rules and regulations, but to maximize systems that will be efficient and effective for all of us.

This section contains policies and procedures for professors teaching in IGSL's master's degree programs, including course preparation, course instruction, grading policies, ethics of coursework and more. Warning: this is a very long section.

We have a detailed IGSL Financial Policy Manual, which is available here. But for a simple overview of the most basic information we need every week, visit this section.

This section contains answers to questions about IGSL's expectations regarding weekly schedule and workload. It also provides information about vacation and leaves, such as MPD leave, personal retreat, maternity/paternity leave, etc.

Faculty are requested to inform the LDHR team if they plan to travel outside Metro Manila. This is for our own safety and security, so that someone always knows where we are in case of emergency.

Clothing speaks, before we say a word — so what is the message we want to send? Our goal is to communicate respect to the community. Male and female faculty should be dressed smartly and modestly when teaching in IGSL classrooms or speaking in the Community Chapel time.

IGSL comes alongside faculty members who are pursuing advanced degrees, providing financial assistance, encouragement and direction, and time to focus on studies. This section provides guidelines for availing of the assistance.

Building a team of financial ministry partners is a faith adventure. It is an opportunity to see God work, not only in our lives as we trust Him for our needs, but also in the lives of those who will financially stand with us.
All full-time IGSL faculty members are asked to develop their own personal support through a qualified sending organization that exists to mobilize missionaries for God’s work. Sending organizations should have a calling that affirms the calling of IGSL so that they would be willing to second their missionaries to IGSL.
